Tilia x europaea, or common Lime is a pale white to creamy colour, with subtle growth rings. Tends to age yellow or a very pale brown over time. Has a fine and even texture, which is preferred for wood carvers. Also makes for a easy turning wood which is soft and leaves a fluffy dust. Can clog Abrasives.
Lime also glues and finishes well
